The World According to Tanner

The last week of school Tanner's class put up a display that was the World According to Us. The teachers asked the kids questions and recorded all of their responses throughout the year. I wrote down what Tanner said and would like to share it with everyone.

Question: What does the tooth fairy do with all the teeth?
Tanner's Answer: She puts them on a big table.

Question: Where does the sun go when the moon is out?
Tanner's Answer: It goes under the hill.
When I asked him about this answer he said that at our lake house the sun disappears behind the hill in the evening and then it gets dark

Question: If you could be any animal, what would you choose?
Tanner's Answer: A monkey so I could swing from vine to vine.

Question: How do witches make their broomsticks fly?
Tanner's Answer: They get a rocket and put it on the broom. They get a match and make it go.

Question: How do you prepare Thanksgiving dinner?
Tanner's Answer: For stuffing, my Grandma made it. We weren't there yet and I don't know how to make it.

Question: How does Santa Clause get down the chimney?
Tanner's Answer: He jumps down feet first, arms by his side and he uses his ands and feet to help push himself down.

Question: How did Rudolph get a red nose?
Tanner's Answer: The elves made it and glued it to his nose.

Question: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Tanner's Answer: A policeman so I can fight the bad guys.

Question: What does Jesus look like?
Tanner's Answer: His hair is short and blonde and he wears purple clothes.

Question: If you could visit anywhere in the world where would you go?
Tanner's Answer: California so I can go to Lego Land.
How he knows that Lego Land is in California is beyond me???

Question: If you had a pot of gold what would you do with it?
Tanner's Answer: I would buy my own pirate ship with 42 Mario movies in it.

Question: What do the teachers do when they are not at school?
Tanner's Answer: Buy stuff that the school needs.

Question: If you could have a magical power what would it be?
Tanner's Answer: I would have rocket boots and fly.

Question: If you could as God anything, what would you ask him?
Tanner's Answer: I would ask him to make my Grammi feel better.
When I read this last one I could not help but start to cry. He is such a sweet, sensitive little boy.

My Three Babies

Our babies tend to all look very similar. See if you can guess who is who. Sami is obvious, as she is the only one with a bow but the boys are a little harder.

Our Little Cam Cam

Our little boy was born March 21, 2011, weighing 7 lbs. 15 oz. and 19.5 inches long. I woke up that morning to Sami lifting up my shirt at about 7am. When I asked her what she was doing she looked at me and said "Is the baby still in there?" When I said yes, she looked right at me and said "Oh, she's coming today." Well she was right about the arriving part, but incorrect about the "she." At about 9 in the morning I thought maybe I felt my water break. I was a little unsure as I have never had my water break on it's own before. I called the doctor to see what he thought and he wanted me to come in just to get checked out. I had an appointment scheduled with him at 1 but he thought I should come in sooner. I was having contractions too but I had been having those for weeks. These did feel different but I was still unsure as to what was going on. I got the kids ready for school, dropped them off, kissed them goodbye and off to the doctor I went.

I arrived at about 10 and they confirmed that indeed my water had broken. I was dilated to about a 4 and was 80% effaced. I was in active labor. Off to the hospital I went, or I should say I walked since it was just across the parking lot. I got around 11 and the nurse checked me in, did some blood work, and all of the other things they do. She then checked me again and I was dilated to a 5 or 6. She looked at me very concerned and asked if there was someone that she could call to come be with me. I assured here that my husband was on his way and she said, "Well he better hurry up." She was correct. 3 hours and about 4 pushes later our little man made his debut into the world. He is perfect in every way and is a very good baby. Here are some pictures for everyone to enjoy. He looks very much like his big brother did as a newborn, but we all know that all of our children look the same anyways:)
